GENERAL
How do I book a Myrtle service?
Complete the Rate Card Request Form to receive the relevant rate card. If you would like to proceed after reviewing the service and pricing, use the contact link provided in your email to send us a message of interest.
We will request the information required to prepare your invoice and send it to you for payment. Your booking is confirmed once the required payment has been received.
Is my date secured once I make an enquiry?
No. An enquiry does not reserve your date. Your booking is only confirmed once the required payment has been received.
What are your payment terms?
Payment terms vary by service.
For Myrtle Weddings and Myrtle Celebrations, a 50% non-refundable initial payment is required to confirm your booking. The outstanding balance may be spread across the remaining planning period, with full payment required no later than one month before the event.
For Myrtle Hostesses, full payment must be completed no later than two weeks before the event.
For Olea Honey, full payment is required before production begins.
Do you provide services outside Accra?
Yes. Myrtle services are available outside Accra.
The client is responsible for the team’s transportation, accommodation and feeding requirements where applicable. Depending on the destination and logistics involved, air travel may be required, as well as local transportation between working locations.
Specific travel requirements will be communicated based on the location and service booked.
Can I book more than one Myrtle service for the same event?
Yes. You can book multiple Myrtle services for the same occasion, subject to availability.
For example, a wedding may include Myrtle Weddings for planning and coordination, Myrtle Hostesses for guest management or waiting service, and Olea Honey for guest favours.
MYRTLE WEDDINGS
How far in advance should I book Myrtle Weddings?
For Full Planning & Coordination, we ideally recommend booking 8 to 15 months before your wedding. This gives us sufficient time to guide the planning process, make considered decisions and manage the different stages of the journey without unnecessary time pressure.
Bookings made less than three months before the wedding are considered express bookings and attract an express service fee.
If your wedding falls within a shorter timeframe, you are still welcome to enquire. We have successfully planned weddings within shorter periods, and availability will be assessed based on your date, requirements and the time available to plan.
Can Myrtle take over if I have already started planning my wedding?
Yes. If you have started planning but would like Myrtle to take over the remaining process, we can step in and continue from where you are.
The service will fall under Full Planning & Coordination rather than partial planning, regardless of how much planning has already been completed.
Does Myrtle offer partial wedding planning?
No. We offer Full Planning & Coordination and Event Coordination as two distinct levels of support.
It can be difficult to accurately determine the amount of planning still required until we have reviewed the wedding in detail. What may initially appear to be a few remaining tasks can sometimes require considerably more planning, follow-up and professional involvement.
For this reason, when Myrtle takes responsibility for continuing the planning process, the service falls under Full Planning & Coordination. This gives both the couple and our team a clear scope from the beginning and allows us to provide the level of involvement required to bring the wedding together properly.
When should I book Event Coordination?
You may book Event Coordination as early as six months before your wedding to secure your date.
Our active coordination period begins four to six weeks before the wedding, when we step in to review the plans already made and begin preparing for the final coordination and execution.
Can you work with vendors I have already booked?
Yes. We can work with vendors you have already selected or booked.
Once Myrtle becomes involved, we will review the relevant arrangements and coordinate with your vendors as required for the service you have booked.
How many weddings can Myrtle manage on the same day?
Myrtle can manage up to three events on the same day, subject to the scale and requirements of each event.
Our team includes experienced senior planners and coordinators who are trained to lead events independently, allowing us to assign dedicated teams without compromising the level of organisation and professional oversight expected from Myrtle.
MYRTLE CELEBRATIONS
How far in advance should I book Myrtle Celebrations?
For Full Planning & Coordination, we recommend booking at least seven months before your celebration. This allows sufficient time for planning, decision-making, vendor coordination and the other details required to bring the occasion together.
If your celebration is taking place sooner, you are still welcome to enquire. Shorter planning periods may be accommodated depending on availability, the scale of the event and the work required within the available timeframe.
Can Myrtle take over a celebration I have already started planning?
Yes. If you have already started planning your celebration and would like Myrtle to take over the remaining process, we can step in and continue the planning.
Where Myrtle assumes responsibility for completing the planning and coordinating the event, the service will fall under our Full Planning & Coordination rates.
Does Myrtle offer partial planning for celebrations?
No. We do not offer partial planning.
The amount of work remaining can be difficult to determine accurately until the plans have been properly reviewed. For this reason, where Myrtle is required to take over and continue the planning process, the service falls under Full Planning & Coordination.
If you prefer to complete the planning yourself and only require Myrtle to take over the final details and manage the event, Event Coordination would be the appropriate service.
Can I book Event Coordination without Full Planning & Coordination?
You may book Event Coordination as early as six months before your wedding to secure your date.
Our active coordination period begins four to six weeks before the wedding, when we step in to review the plans already made and begin preparing for the final coordination and execution.
Can you work with vendors I have already booked?
Yes. Event Coordination is available as a standalone service for clients who prefer to plan their celebration themselves and have Myrtle take over the final details and management of the event.
MYRTLE HOSTESSES
How many hostesses or waiting staff will I need for my event?
The appropriate number depends on your guest count and the responsibilities you need the team to handle.
Share your event details with us and we can recommend the number of personnel best suited to your requirements.
How far in advance should I book Myrtle Hostesses?
We recommend booking at least one month before your event.
We currently have a team of approximately 45 personnel, but availability depends on existing bookings and the number of staff required for your event.
For requests made closer to the event date, you are still welcome to enquire. If we have the required personnel available, we will let you know what can be accommodated.
Can I book Myrtle Hostesses for an event outside Accra?
Yes. Our personnel can be booked for events outside Accra.
Transportation, accommodation and feeding requirements must be provided by the client where applicable. Any additional travel requirements will be communicated based on the event location.
How long are Myrtle personnel booked for?
Service periods vary depending on the type of event and personnel booked.
The applicable service durations are outlined in the Myrtle Hostesses rate card. Additional time, where required and available, will be handled according to the terms of your booking.
Can I book hostesses, waiting staff and dowry bearers for the same event?
Yes. You may book more than one Myrtle Hostesses service for the same event, depending on your requirements and personnel availability.
OLEA HONEY
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Our standard minimum order is 50 pieces.
If you require fewer than 50 pieces, please contact us with the quantity you need. Smaller orders may be accommodated depending on the requirements of the order.
How far in advance should I order Olea Honey?
We recommend placing your order at least one month before your event.
Orders placed less than three weeks before the required date are considered express orders and attract an express service fee, subject to our ability to fulfil the order within the available timeframe.
What can be personalized?
Depending on your chosen presentation, personalisation can include names, colours, an appreciation message and your monogram where available.
The available personalisation details will be confirmed when your order is being prepared.
Can I order Olea Honey without booking another Myrtle service?
Absolutely. Olea Honey can be ordered independently for your wedding, birthday, naming ceremony or other celebration. You do not need to book another Myrtle service.
How long does an Olea Honey order take to prepare?
Preparation time depends on the quantity ordered, personalisation and logistics required.
We generally allow up to three weeks for production. During less busy periods, some orders may be completed within approximately 14 days.
We still recommend ordering at least one month before your event to allow sufficient time for preparation and any necessary adjustments.
Yes. I would keep the overall version, but adjust the crystallisation answer slightly. The phrase “does not mean the honey… has been adulterated” can still indirectly suggest that crystallisation tells us something about purity.
A cleaner and safer version is:
Does honey expire?
Honey has a naturally long shelf life and, when properly harvested and stored, can remain good for a very long time.
Excess moisture can cause honey to ferment and spoil, which is why proper harvesting, processing and storage are important.
Does honey need to be refrigerated?
No. Honey does not need to be refrigerated. Store it tightly covered in a cool, dry place away from excess heat and moisture.
Why has my honey crystallised or become solid?
Crystallisation is a natural process that can happen to honey over time and does not mean the honey has gone bad.
If you prefer it liquid, place the tightly closed container in warm water and allow it to gradually become fluid again.
Does all honey look and taste the same?
No. The colour, flavour and aroma of honey can vary depending on the flowers and plants the bees forage on, as well as other natural factors.
This means one batch of honey may be lighter, darker or taste slightly different from another.
Can I give honey to a baby?
No. Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months old because of the risk of infant botulism.
After 12 months, honey can generally be introduced as a food, subject to the usual dietary considerations for the child.
